Fact: Pallets are so hot right now. From coffee tables to couches, pallets are cheap (like, free cheap) and versatile. With a little imagination and a few splinters, you can pretty much build your entire house out of pallets! Okay, I’m getting carried away… but seriously, pallets are awesome. Here are just 4 things you can do with them:
Pallet Garden Storage

I love this idea! It’s as easy as sanding, painting and attaching your pallet to an outside wall with heavy-duty screws. Then depending on what tools you have, you can custom design your hook-system by visiting your local hardware store and stocking up on nails, braces and racks to attach to your pallet. The only tricky part is building the little shelf in the top left corner. If you are up for a challenge – check out one woman’s method here.
Pallet Wine Rack

While this looks spectacular, don’t be fooled into thinking this is simply a cut-off piece from a pallet. This wine rack takes a whole lotta DIY action. Think nails, hammer and a handsaw people! Pallet Seating

And in case you have, oh you know, a whole spare room just lying around – you too can have your very own cinema seating made up of pallets! A word to the wise – while the pallets will be super cheap (if not free) custom-made cushions like these ones can be a little expensive, so make sure you get a cushion quote first or those 12 wooden pallets piled up in your garage might be there for a while!
Pallet Coat Rack

This is probably the easiest project of them all! Simply sand down the rough edges of a pallet, chose a selection of brightly coloured paint and get painting. I think the hooks in the picture a but blah, it would be awesome to collect a range of vintage handles and door-knobs to attach as hooks for all your hat and coat-hanging needs!
Start scrounging for pallets peeps, you will see them everywhere once you start looking for them!
