This week has been an exciting one for No.7 Restaurant as the tables have arrived!
When I first started designing this restaurant, two major factors I had to take into consideration were the price and materials. Lesotho has limited resources and we were tight on funds, so we thought outside the box and tried to recycle materials we had lying around.
Pallets were one thing we had plenty of…
My lovely friend Susie (whose husband Pete, is the founder of Kick4life) just so happened to walk into a furniture store in Lesotho to see what kind of tables they had. She got talking to the owner Terry, who was so excited to hear about Kick4life’s new restaurant, that he said he would make the pallet tables for FREE! (Did I mention that Susie is one of the sweetest, most friendliest people in the world?) I’m sure that helped:)
Here is the finished product! Terry from Magnificent Interiors volunteered his materials and his time to make these gorgeous tables and we are all thrilled with the result. Thanks Terry!
More updates to come…
